My overall experience was great; from the customer service to the ambiance and the service. We were greeted warmly and the staff was friendly. We looked around as they waited on us. It was a great place. My two main complaints were the prices and the food. My wife and I's meal came out to 65. I was not expecting that. Nevertheless, it was OK because we wanted to try it. The food was missing something. I'm not sure what it was. I recognize I should not compare to what I have at home but I will say, when Mexicans come here, they can find a taste of Mexico here. I am not opposed to the tastes, but, I was expecting something else... a taste of "home" maybe? However, I'm glad it's bringing a little taste of home into the far reaches of Texas. My experience was great and if you set your expectations right (it's not going to taste exactly like what you get on the islands), then you will be OK. Grind on!
Delicious grilled meat and salad. Their cookies are one of the best I tasted. Service is great. Have lots of parking space. Ambience and decors are authentic.
Excellent customer service from Jayden today! Greeted me the minute I walked in the door with a smile on their face. Food was excellent. Got the teriyaki steak and chicken and it was cooked perfectly. Loved the pasta salad and white rice as my side. Can’t wait to try the rest of the options!
This is hands down better than Hawaiian Brothers. I had teriyaki chicken and it was amazing. They have fantastic ice if you're an ice eater. I could see me going through the drive through just for that. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very kind. One employee stood out to me and his name was Tyler. He was very helpful and really made my visit enjoyable.
Food was great! Hefty portions, fair price and the spam musubi was to die for. Food was fresh and the staff were friendly.
Updated review and 100% redemption! When I say the food is worth it, I can’t just stop going because of one mishap. 11/9, 8:30pm, I ordered the same thing as last time and I was in and out within 3 minutes. Order was correct, service was spot on and food delicious! Been 3x now and each time is so good. Updated photo with correct two scoops of rice and extra mac salad. TY!!!! — I arrived at 8:18pm in the drive thru. Ordered the EKOLU plate (per receipt). I was asked if I could wait 7 minutes and if I could park in the parking lot and they would bring it out. 8:33pm I walked inside to ask the status of my food and the drive thru attendant and the front cashier looked at me and the cashier said “she messed up” and he would get my order. I sat in the dining room till 8:59pm, no update from any staff. I finally received my food but it definitely left with a bad experience. 4-5 people got their food and counted 5-6 times the drive thru girl gave other cars their food. I’m not bashing anyone or the business but maybe train them to touch base with customers so they don’t sit there waiting and wondering. Delicious food but tonight was a miss on the service Came home to incorrect order. What was ordered versus pictured. Wanted extra mac salad not rice. Lol win some, lose some. I should have checked before leaving but I was over it at that point I Counted 4 cameras in the dining room. Definitely review the footage could be useful for training purposes. I was sitting at the middle table, close to the food pickup window.
We have been coming here for a while now and this place always hits the spot! Every time we come here the food is fantastic, customer service is 10/10 and is always clean! Specific shout out to Jayden. He greeted everyone with a huge smile when they walk in, didn’t skip a beat. The whole staff today deserves a round of applause. It was busy and not one employee looked like they were slacking off or seemed annoyed with the lunch rush. I’m not one to give reviews often, but I think they all deserve to be recognized for great customer service.
The meats! I absolutely love the teriyaki steak and breaded chicken. It tastes like it just came off the charcoal grill. It's like getting invited to a backyard BBQ. The helpings are also beyond generous. You're walking out of there full for sure. That said, the salads are also fantastic, not just an afterthought like they are at a lot of places. It would be easy to make this place work on a diet... if you're into that sort of thing.
